Lagerstätten/Places to Be, Conceptual Series of Places to Escape to, #showcase-sunday

I'm not sure if it's #showcase-sunday again (an initiative by @nonameslefttouse);
either way I am showing a work that I didn't publish yet: Lagerstätten/Places to be.
This is part of my ongoing project 'At Home in the World', a project insisting on the
right to live in and use this world like it was my home. Which it actually is!!
These are places in central-eastern Europe you can go to and stay. The coordinates
are given with each picture. These are kind of escape-pods, in a world that is
becoming more and more controlled and narrow.
The pictures also carry within them the astonishment of the western traveller, when discovering that in the wild and dangerous east (at least that's what we were taught in school) you can find much more freedom to move and stay. Instead of crumpy cops and authoritarian forest guards one meets friendly people that invite you to stay and eat/drink with them.
How did the west trade hospitality for a wealth
that creates paranoia and fear towards strangers?!
What a loss!
