Miniworld: Construction Site in Vienna

In toy-land work can't be hard. It's just colourful and jolly, no slavery at all!

How to achieve the Miniworld-Effect: Tilt the lens so it's not parallel (freelensing, Anti-Scheimpflug), and you get this focus that makes everything look like toy-land. A perspective from above helps emphasizing the effect.

Note: This effect works because we instinctively associate that kind of focus with the one of macro-shots.

Here's a nice illustration of the possible movements of a classical camera. Source here.

Shot on 4x5 Film (Kodak EPP 100) using a Graflex Camera and a 135mm lens.
Crossprocessed for strong contrasts and colours.
