Revenge? Spite? A Mural Somewhere in Morocco, Analog Photography on a Wall, Working with liquid Emulsion

Travelling Morocco for 3 months brought me close to (and over) my limits. I thought I'm that tolerant guy who can handle anything... Out of spite (and what's a better source for creativity than spite?!) I decided to leave a huge mural on one of Morocco's tourist attractions. And to top it up, I choose 3 self-portraits, two of them aimed to be a bit in-the-face of local culture: Me quite naked, and me wearing the traditional Chellaba like a Jedi.

Sorry if I step on someone's toes with that. But I tell you, after these 3 months my toes were a bloody mess!!!

A rough picture in a rough surrounding.

Close Up. On the right side you can see me as the mayor (old story). In the middle you have me showing a lotta skin. On the right, barely visible, me as a Jedi (with a light sabre).

The set up; I needed a huge dark-tent for that one. Due to it not being 100% light proof, I still had to work during the night.

Everytime I apply the base-white, I feel much like a painter prepping the canvas.

Stones left over from the probes positioned around the building.

I coated the wall with light sensitiv emulsion , exposed the b/w negs using my large format camera as a projector, and sprayed the chemistry for developing and fixing, plus a lot of water onto it.
